Drum and Butterfly Motif Earrings

Description of Jewellery
This piece draws from two structural motifs found in Miao craft traditions: the circular organisation of ceremonial drums and the mirrored outlines associated with butterfly forms. These elements are combined and refined here into a compact form that remains clear when worn close to the face.
The structure is formed through coiled filigree work in 990 silver, with fine wire shaped into layered circular and scroll components. A clear axial alignment and balanced geometry are maintained, while a continuous outer line defines the measured outline of the form.
The earrings bring together two established structural systems in a refined contemporary interpretation, allowing proportion and clarity to guide the composition.
